Q: what’s the basic construction process?

A: the product is fashioned by "clicking" (stamping out) matching pieces of leather & backing, using a "knife" (a cookie-cutter of sorts). each piece is punched around its perimeter with needle-holes before being hand-stitched into a single component

Q: what are the attributes of the cowhide rugs?

A: because of the backing, they are well-cushioned, sound-absorbing and slip-resistant.  the stitching allows furniture that needs to move easily across the rug’s surface such as a dining-table chairs to glide freely
