Q: what’s the basic construction process?
A: the product is fashioned by "clicking" (stamping out) matching pieces of leather & backing, using a "knife" (a cookie-cutter of sorts). each piece is punched around its perimeter with needle-holes before being hand-stitched into a single component
Q: what are the attributes of the cowhide rugs?
A: because of the backing, they are well-cushioned, sound-absorbing and slip-resistant. the stitching allows furniture that needs to move easily across the rug’s surface — such as a dining-table chairs — to glide freely
